WFA Online High School Terms & Conditions

(By enrolling a Student at WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD, each Parent representing a WFA Online High School minor Student, and each adult Student, agrees to abide by these terms and conditions (referred to as “these Terms”). These Terms constitute an integral part of the agreement between WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD and the Parent and Student. Parents acting on behalf of a minor Student commit to ensuring the Student’s compliance with the relevant parts of these Terms, and if the Parent is not the person responsible for payment (PRFP), they undertake to ensure the PRFP’s compliance with all relevant provisions. Adult Students commit to ensuring their Parents’ compliance with the relevant parts of these Terms and, if the Student is not the PRFP, to ensure the PRFP’s compliance with all relevant provisions.

 

1. Definitions

1.1. “WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL” refers to WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (Pty) Ltd, a private company registered under number: 2019/592114/07.

1.2. “Codes of Conduct” encompass both the Code of Conduct for Students and the Code of Conduct for Parents, as context dictates.

1.3. “Code of Conduct for Students” refers to the code of conduct for Students as detailed in clause 5.

1.4. “Code of Conduct for Parents” pertains to the code of conduct for Parents as outlined in clause 7.

1.5. “Disciplinary Committee” is the body constituted by WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD to adjudicate disputes arising from breaches or alleged breaches of the Codes of Conduct.

1.6. “Educator” designates any individual educator employed by WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD.

1.7. “IEB” stands for the Independent Examinations Board, or any successor Umalusi-accredited organization determined by WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD for administering educational assessments.

1.8. “Marketplace” denotes WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD’s online “Marketplace” platform, where Marketplace Service Providers may advertise and seek business related to extra-curricular and extramural activities, goods, and services, including tutoring.

1.9. “Onboarded” indicates that a Student’s registration with WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD and integration into the learning management system has been completed.

1.10. “Parent” refers to each of a Student’s parents and/or legal guardian/s.

1.11. “PRFP” stands for the person designated as the “person responsible for payment” upon application for enrolment.

1.12. “SACAI” signifies the South African Comprehensive Assessment Institute, or any successor Umalusi-accredited organization determined by WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD for administering educational assessments.

1.13. “Marketplace Service Provider” is a person or entity contracted by WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD to advertise and solicit business on the Marketplace platform.

1.14. “Student” encompasses any Student who has undergone Onboarding with WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD.

 

2. WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD

WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD operates as a virtual online high school in South Africa, offering courses that may vary, including South African Grades 8 to 10 and the National Senior Certificate.

 

3. Fees and Payment for WFA Online High School

School fees must be paid in advance in the amounts specified by WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD for the relevant Grade, educational plan, and school year. Parents can opt to pay in advance on a termly (4 payments, due on or before the first day of each term) or monthly (10 payments, due on or before the first day of each month) basis. For monthly payments, the final payment must be made by 1 October of the relevant school year, with the first payment due by 1 January of the preceding year. All payments must be made in South African Rands without any deductions or offsets.

3.1. When a Student is enrolled during a term, the full term fee is payable to receive a report for that term.

3.2. If any instalment is not paid by the due date, the full annual fee becomes immediately due and payable by the PRFP. WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD reserves the right to charge interest at the prescribed rate on overdue payments, along with a late payment fee and, if applicable, collection costs. While any fees remain overdue, WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD may suspend the Student’s access to the Learning Management System at its discretion.

3.3. Certain examination and registration fees charged by IEB and/or SACAI may apply, depending on the Student’s grade, subjects, and other factors. These fees are the responsibility of Parents unless explicitly included in the fees charged by WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD.

3.4. Payments to IEB and/or SACAI must be made by the specified date set by the relevant body. WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD will not register a Student with an examination body or facilitate any other interaction unless all payments to WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD and examination bodies have been made.

4. Admissions to WFA Online High School

4.1. Enrolment of a Student at WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD is conditional upon acceptance of these Terms, submission of the required documents, and payment of the prescribed fees.

4.2. WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD reserves the right to accept or decline any application for enrolment without providing a reason.

4.3. All applications for enrolment must be submitted through the WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD application portal, and must be accompanied by the required supporting documentation and a non-refundable application fee, if applicable.

4.4. Each Parent and Student represents and warrants that all information provided during the application process, including but not limited to personal information, academic records, and medical information, is accurate and complete.

4.5. The Parent and Student consent to the use and disclosure of their personal information as set out in WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD’s Privacy Policy.

4.6. Parents agree to ensure that Students under their care comply with the Codes of Conduct and any applicable rules and regulations of WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD.

 

5. Code of Conduct for Students at WFA Online High School

Students are expected to adhere to the following Code of Conduct:

5.1. Students must demonstrate respect for all WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD employees, Educators, Marketplace Service Providers, and fellow Students, both online and offline.

5.2. Students must abide by the principles of academic honesty and integrity, refraining from cheating or engaging in plagiarism.

5.3. Students must engage in their educational activities diligently and attend classes, assessments, and examinations as required.

5.4. Students must not engage in any form of harassment, discrimination, or bullying, and should report any such incidents to the relevant authorities.

5.5. Students must not use any form of technology or engage in any online behaviour that may harm the reputation of WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD or its community members.

5.6. Students must protect their login credentials and not share them with others. Unauthorized use of login credentials is a breach of these Terms.

5.7. Students must adhere to the disciplinary procedures outlined in these Terms if they are found to have violated any part of the Code of Conduct.

5.8. Students must comply with any additional rules, policies, or procedures that WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD may communicate from time to time.

 

6. Education at WFA Online High School

6.1. WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD undertakes to provide educational services, including courses and assessments, in accordance with South African curriculum standards and requirements.

6.2. The specific content, structure, and duration of educational services may vary depending on the grade level and educational plan selected by the Student.

6.3. WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD reserves the right to modify the curriculum, content, and structure of its educational services at any time without prior notice.

6.4. Students must complete all required assessments and examinations as specified by WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD and relevant examination bodies.

6.5. WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD will provide access to a Learning Management System (LMS) for enrolled Students, which may include digital textbooks, multimedia resources, assessment materials, and communication tools. Students are responsible for accessing and using the LMS in accordance with the provided guidelines.

6.6. WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD will assign Educators to provide academic support and instruction to Students as needed. Educators will communicate with Students and Parents through the LMS and other approved communication channels.

6.7. WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD may engage Marketplace Service Providers to offer extra-curricular and extramural activities, goods, and services to Students and Parents. Marketplace Service Providers are responsible for the quality and delivery of their offerings.

6.8. WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD does not guarantee the availability of specific courses, Educators, or Marketplace Service Providers, and reserves the right to make changes to these arrangements as necessary.

 

7. Code of Conduct for Parents at WFA Online High School

Parents are expected to adhere to the following Code of Conduct:

7.1. Parents must conduct themselves in a respectful and cooperative manner when interacting with WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD, Educators, Marketplace Service Providers, and other Parents.

7.2. Parents must ensure that Students under their care comply with the Code of Conduct for Students and any applicable rules and regulations of WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD.

7.3. Parents must promptly pay all fees and charges as specified by WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD.

7.4. Parents must adhere to the disciplinary procedures outlined in these Terms if they or their Students are found to have violated any part of the Code of Conduct for Parents.

7.5. Parents must comply with any additional rules, policies, or procedures that WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD may communicate from time to time.

7.6. Parents are responsible for monitoring and supporting their Students’ educational progress, including ensuring that Students complete assignments, attend classes, and participate in assessments and examinations.

 

8. Disciplinary Procedures at WFA Online High School

8.1. In the event of a breach of the Code of Conduct for Students or Code of Conduct for Parents, WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD may initiate disciplinary procedures. Such procedures may include warnings, suspension, expulsion, or other appropriate actions.

8.2. The Disciplinary Committee, appointed by WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD, will conduct investigations and make determinations regarding disciplinary matters. The decisions of the Disciplinary Committee are final and binding.

8.3. WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD reserves the right to report serious breaches of the Codes of Conduct to the relevant authorities if necessary.

 

9. Termination

9.1. Either WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD or the Parents may terminate the Student’s enrolment by providing written notice. Termination may be initiated at any time, but the notice period and consequences will depend on the circumstances.

9.2. If Parents choose to terminate enrolment during a school year, they remain liable for any outstanding fees, assessments, and charges, in addition to any notice period specified in the termination notice.

9.3. WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD may terminate a Student’s enrolment for non-payment of fees or breach of the Codes of Conduct.

 

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1. WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD will provide educational services and support to the best of its ability but does not guarantee specific educational outcomes.

10.2. WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD is not responsible for any interruptions or disruptions in the delivery of educational services due to technical issues, internet connectivity, or other factors beyond its control.

10.3. WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD’s liability for any claims arising from the provision of educational services, including any claims for negligence, is limited to the amount of fees paid by the Parents for the relevant school year.

 

11. Miscellaneous

11.1. These Terms represent the entire agreement between WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD, Parents, and Students and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.

11.2. These Terms may be amended or modified by WFA CHRISTIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL (PTY) LTD from time to time, and any such amendments will be communicated to Parents and Students.

11.3. These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, and any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

11.4. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to be valid and enforceable.
