Take our quick quiz to find out if online schooling could be the flexible, structured, and supportive solution your family has been looking for.
WFA believes in rewarding academic achievement. Therefore, if a learner performs above a certain average in his/her current subjects and applies to take an additional subject, there will be no extra cost to take an additional subject.

At WFA Online High School, our timetable is designed to give learners a healthy balance of structure, interaction, and flexibility. Live classes take place every weekday from 08:00 to 14:15, ensuring consistent engagement and routine. All lessons are recorded, so learners can easily revise or catch up if they miss a session.
Every second week, learners step beyond the classroom during our Business Talks, where industry leaders share real-world insights and career inspiration. On alternate weeks, the same slot is used for WFA Unplugged time for creativity, community, and personal growth.
To keep academic pressure balanced, Tuesdays and Thursdays include dedicated test lessons, allowing learners to complete assessments without disrupting their normal class schedule.
At WFA Online High School, accessing textbooks is convenient and flexible. Families can choose the option that best suits their needs and budget.
You can buy all prescribed textbooks online through Snapplify, where digital copies are available for easy access. If you prefer printed copies, you can purchase new or second-hand books from local bookstores using the ISBN numbers provided on our official book list.
Many parents also find great value through Facebook second-hand book groups, where learners and families connect to buy, sell, or exchange books. You are welcome to join our WFA second-hand book group to connect directly with other WFA parents and arrange private purchases.

An online high school in South Africa offering an IEB (Independent Examinations Board) certification must be with the relevant provincial Department of Education and accredited by the IEB as an examination centre. The IEB itself is quality-assured by Umalusi, the national education standards authority. To maintain accreditation, the school must employ qualified, SACE-registered teachers, follow the IEB curriculum and assessment standards, and ensure learners can sit official IEB exams at approved centres. Always verify a school’s IEB registration on the official IEB website to confirm its legitimacy.
Yes — if you complete the IEB curriculum and earn the IEB National Senior Certificate (NSC) with a bachelor’s pass, you can study at any South African university. The IEB NSC is fully accredited by Umalusi and recognized by all South African universities, as well as many international institutions. Your university eligibility will depend on your final subject results and whether you meet the specific admission requirements for your chosen degree program.
To pass your IEB matric at WFA Online High School, you must take at least seven subjects- including English, a second language, Maths or Maths Literacy, and Life Orientation and achieve 40% in three subjects (one being your Home Language) and 30% in three others. You must also complete all assessments and final exams. To qualify for university (Bachelor’s) admission, you need 50% or more in four subjects (excluding Life Orientation), 40% in your Home Language, and 30% in one other subject. Staying consistent with schoolwork, assessments, and exam preparation is key to earning your matric and university eligibility.
